Our house is the home of our bulls, since they live with us as one more member of the family, and how could they not be ? Have you ever watched a Bulldog? Have you realised that they are extremely expressive because being so pug-nose they seem to have no face at all ? So, when their big round eyes look into our eyes and their " rose ears" move forwards and backwards, looking for a gesture that invites them to play or to fall in love with our endless caresses, all that look of a rough dog vanishes under the charm and the peace that comes from stroking and hugging that big strong dog that embodies the soul of their ancestral gladiators, full of courage and bravery, loyal to the point of giving their lives for those they consider their family, unscathed by pain and brave guardian of their house. Before buying our female dog, we visited dog shows, breeders and read books about the Bulldog (something I recommend to those who want a pet of any type and breed, to become a responsible owner) to know all the characteristics of that dog I wished so much to have, to know all its virtues and the care it needs to enjoy being with it until its old age. This adorable molosoid , came into our lives five years ago, more precisely on July 8th, 2001, when with a small cradle and a shawl that belonged to my kids when they were babies we went to pick her up from Monica and Ricardo' s house. I can't think about my life without a dog so, thanks to a dream my husband had since he was a child of having the dog of The Three Stooges (American tv show from the 60's)Star Gold " Luna" came to our lives to fill it with happines. She was born on May 24th, 2001.
Our " Golden Star ", just as a daughter who passes her first exams at the beginning of her studies, made us really proud in the rings since she was nine months old, becoming 4th Best in Group in November 2001 in the Federación Cinológica Argentina Dog Show. Since then, her presence and femenine " roll" in the rings made her the winner of 8 Breeds, Great Argntine Champion, LatinAmerican Champion and International Beauty Champion, Best Opposite Sex Ranking 2002, winner of S.I.C.A.L.A.M. 2003 and EUKANUBA 2004 Cup. Since we are a family kennel and the number of our dogs is small, the litters are carefully planned and consequently the males for the service have been carefully chosen to obtain the results that speak for themselves : from her first litter of three puppies (2 males and a female) one of the males Barenton´s Big Jagger Pendragon was sold to Ecuador and at 6 months of age became Best in Show at the Asociación Canina del Tungurahua, Ecuador; the other puppies stayed at home and in only three shows obtained :Barenton´s Ginebra de Rivendell “PAMPA”, “MEJOR CACHORRO ABSOLUTO GROUP II Show, LOMAS DE ZAMORA KENNEL CLUB, Opposite Sex ,September 2005 ,Junior Best of Breed INTERNATIONAL FCA, April 2006, and Barenton´s Mapuche´sWild Pitch “Mapuche” FCA Junior Best of Breed, November 2005 and Best Junior , BS. AS. KENNEL CLUB Best of Breed, March 2006; being our male to stand at stud. Small but excellent litter, we believe these qualities are the closest to the type of standard required for the typical English Bulldog. Since “LUNA” became a Mum her only occupation is to laze in the sun, play and breed beutiful puppies who have inherited her beauty and champion lineage. *** Luna's birthday***
